Red Oak Makerspace, a membership-based, do-it-yourself, non-profit workshop provides members with the use of tools and equipment to make things we’ve always wanted. Classes are offered in the maker space to enhance creativity in making and to add vibrancy to an already creative community. This learning environment rich with possibilities, serves as a gathering point where communities of new and experienced makers connect to work on real and personally meaningful projects, informed by helpful mentors and expertise, using new technologies and traditional tools.
We are an organized group of local artists, engineers, makers, creators, and thinkers who work together to collect tools and resources for our membership, whom could not otherwise afford, store, or use them individually. We use these resources to collaborate on individual and community projects in order to promote and encourage technical, scientific, and artistic skills through individual projects, social collaboration, and education. We are improving the world by creatively rethinking technology in the South DFW region.
